1. Submit to Search Engines: This is the first step towardsincreasing your website traffic. Don't wait for the search enginesto find your site. Go ahead and submit it to them voluntarily.Submitting a sitemap would be better – this will encourage thesearch engines to examine your site more often. Visits by theSearch Engine Spiders are a key way to increase website traffic.

2. Link Exchange: The search engines count inbound links whenranking your website. Look for free link exchange programs. You canincrease website traffic by including relevant links to your site -so seek out sites with similar or complementary products/services.You can also use free blogs as lead generation tools to helpincrease website traffic. When you make a post on a blog, include alink to your site URL, using anchor text. Blogs are a direct meansto increase website traffic for free! Free classified ads thatallow links to your URL are also good ways to increase websitetraffic.

3. Article Marketing: A relatively new but powerful (and free!) traffic booster. Publish articles on Ezine and Article Directories.Articles create interest in your website as you are seen as anexpert. Having links to your URL utilizing anchor text increasesyour number of relevant inbound links.

4. "Tell A Friend" Scripts: Include a "tell a friend" script on your website. This will enable your customers to pass your website(and links) around. You'd be amazed at how well this works. Someonefinds your site interesting, passes it to a friend, so on, and soon..you get the picture. This directly helps increase websitetraffic, and you build your customer base! A favorite technique ofInternet business owners, and it's free!

5. Hold a Contest: Use your website's autoresponder as a means to hold a contest of some type. For example, if they sign up for yournewsletter, they get a chance to win a free ebook or one months'worth of web hosting (or one of your products). Again, this is anexcellent way to increase website traffic and build your opt-inlist, all at the same time!

6. Press Releases: This is one of the most overlooked ways to increase website traffic. The subject can be as simple asannouncing a new product that you offer, or a new hire that you'vemade. As long as it's newsworthy, you can distribute your pressrelease to the online press release companies and have it picked upby the major search engine's news categories (for example, Yahoo!News). Do you know how many people read these things? Thousands! Anexcellent way to increase you website traffic. Totally free!

7. Affiliate Program: Do you sell a product or ebook? Then you need to create an affiliate program. This is how it works: you offer topermit sale of your product on other Internet owners' websites, inexchange for giving them a portion of the sale (say, 35%). Do yourealize how many websites that you can have your products on usingthis method? There are many Internet business owners that simplysell other people's products (we call these Super Affiliates). Thisway, you sell more products and increase website traffic absolutelyfree of cost! You do have to promote your affiliate program andproduct, which brings us to the next method, which is….

8. Get A ClickBank Account: Clickbank is the largest product directory on the Internet today. Additionally, Clickbank will setup and manage your affiliate program for you. They will also managesales and any returns. You don't do a thing! Both your product andaffiliate program are listed in the Clickbank directory. Peoplelooking for the product you offer find your website and wham!You've just taken a major step toward getting an immediate increasein website traffic! And, it only takes 5 minutes to sign up!

9. Joint Venture: You can team up with a company that sells similar or complementary products and services. Your website link is thenadvertised on that company's site and vice versa. This results indirecting traffic from their site to yours. All you have to do iscontact the company that you are interested in via email, with aproposal. This technique works amazingly well. You increase website traffic, and most importantly, it is both relevant and targeted,increasing your ability to make a sale!

10. Use Ebay: Stop passing up Ebay! Ebay is less intimidating than it looks, and it is easy for beginners to get started. In fact,Ebay was practically made for the Internet business owner who wants to increase website traffic. You can set up an Ebay store, ofcourse linking back to your website. Including clever sales copy and pictures of your products/services increases your chances of customers clicking through and making a purchase. You can sell ANYTHING on ebay – this is no exaggeration. that one?  How about this – what does "FTP" stand for? OK,

That brings me to the second reason why I love affiliate
marketing…

** You don't need to build a website **

What scares people more than creating a product is building
a website!

* What in the world is HTML?  Or FTP?
* How much does the software cost?  And hosting?
* How do I upload files?
* Why isn't it formatted correctly?
* Why don't my graphics look like the ones the pros have?

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult
(even using templates) to get an attractive website in place.
And hiring a professional to do it fo ryou is out of the
budget for most people.

But, with affiliate marketing, you don't need to build a
website.  You simply send visitors to someone else's
professionally designed site through your affiliate link.

SIDEBAR:  Just in case you're interested, HTML stands
for "hypertext markup language" and is the coding
used to build webpages.  FTP stands for "file transfer
protocol" and is the process used for moving files
from your computer to a website, or vice versa.

Really, in a manner of looking at it, you get to take
advantage of the time and money invested by someone else
to develop the site.  Think about it:  when you promote an
affiliate link, it reflects firstly upon YOU.  You are the
one who is advertising the link, recommending the product,
sending people who have interacted with YOU to the website.

The professional site of someone else really represents
you as the promoter, in the eye of those who have clicked
through your link.

You get the benefits without the bother.

That's why I love affiliate marketing.

You don't need to build a website.

Many people find the idea of creating their own products to

Hey guys Ben here with just a quick but important post about this traffic getting video my friend George Brown sent me earlier…

First of all… traffic getting? What do I mean by that?

Kind of a weird term I know, so I figured I best explain myself…

Well, in the words of George himself: "if you watch the video and implement the technique it will basically will get you a boatload of traffic to your website".

Simple enough.

Watch the video, do it and get some extra free targeted traffic to your site, no matter what niche it's in.

And it works too. George (the techniques "creator") is using to drive almost 20,000 free visitors to his sites every month. Twenty THOUSAND! That's nothing to sniff at.

I get alot of emails from my subscribers saying that they get the
whole list building thing and how important having a list is to build
a sustainable business online, but they don't know where to start or
how to get their first subscribers.

Well..

I'm going to share with you how I got my first 1000 subscribers back
in August 2009.

I did two things:

a) I joined every JV giveaway event under the sun!

b) I purchased solo mailings from other marketers!

JV giveaway events are great if your on a low budget because they are
free to submit a single gift to the event.

However, I highly recommend upgrading if you have more than one free
gift because then you will have multiple bites of the cherry.

The second strategy that I used which was a much faster way of getting
subscribers was purchasing solo mailings from other marketers.

Buying solo mailings involves you finding and contacting other list
owners in your niche and asking them to promote your squeeze page to
their lists for an agreed fee.

The fee's will vary from marketer to marketer but i've found the
average to be around 0.30c a click, which means that if the other
marketer can get you 100 clicks and your squeeze page converts at
50% you will get 50 new subscribers for $30 which is much cheaper
that costly PPC.

If you sell digital products online you are no doubt aware of the two most popular affiliate networks, ClickBank and PayDotCom.

While both of these are great and I highly recommend each of them, today I came across a brand new service that really caught my attention. It's called PaySpree and the reason it caught my attention is that ALL its members get paid for their sales instantly by PayPal.

Even affiliates get paid for their referred sales instantly by PayPal.

I expect it to become quite a hit as the lure of 'instant commissions'  played a big part in the massive success of products such as 7DollarSecrets and the RapidActionProfits scripts.

I've actually come across products for sale that are just lists of affiliate programs that pay instant paypal commission. And I've seen many threads in the various internet marketing forums asking about where to find instant commission affiliate programs. Now there is an entire site and marketplace dedicated to them.

As soon as you become a member you can start promoting any product in the marketplace, and you can add your own products so affiliates can promote them for you. All commission payments are handled automatically by PaySpree, it sounds like a winner to me.
